Notes
Thank you to everyone who made it out to our first round of Main Street meetings, August 16, 17, and 18. For those who couldn't make it, here is a little glimpse of what we got to play around with. Below, you'll see "screenshots" of a few of the design scenarios we considered. At this stage, we were only using these scenarios to help us identify which COMPONENTS of the design people liked and did not like. We asked folks to rate everything from lamp post style, to street trees, to lane configurations based upon Victor's five core values: small town feel, family friendliness, connection to nature, sustainability, and cultural history.
We received about 101 completed worksheets during these events with A LOT of great feedback from local residents. Now, we're going to analyze this input and develop some more possible scenarios for YOUR review. Sometime this September, we hope to have another meeting to show you what we've come up with, and to hear your thoughts. We hope that together, we can generate a great new design for Main Street to submit to the City Council for approval.
Let us know what you think, or if you have any questions: Dahvi Wilson or Tracy Tonks.
